Knivskjelodden - The Secret Of The North

Knivskjelodden is the real northernmost point in Europe.

Hiking Tour - NOK 800

We will head out for an all-day (7 – 8 hrs, 18km) hike into the wilderness of the northern part of Magerøy Island. The track starts from the parking place at E69, ca. 7 km before the North Cape plateau. Parking lot is also meeting point with our guide. We will provide a small snacks for every participant.

Our destination is Knivskjelodden (71°1108”) – the real northernmost point of Europe. After 9 km long and 2 – 3 hours long walk, following the track marked with red T’s, we will reach the Knivskjelodden. On the way we will see mountain lakes, fjords and mountain passes that provide unbelievably dramatic views as far as you can see (weather permitting).

On this latitude the weather can change very fast. After having reached Knivskjelodden we will enjoy outdoor meal and have a cup of hot drink to stay warm. After the excursion all participants will get a certificate for taking part to hiking tour in continental Europe’s northernmost point.

Minimum two persons!
